Hello SMGSA!
We have 3 spots currently available for tonights 6-7 hitting clinic. Use this link if you want to sign up:

Throughout the fall season, SMGSA is going to be putting on clinics every Thursday at Heasley Field. Not only will the hitting clinic remain on that evening but we will be moving our pitching clinics to that night as well. Both of those clinics, taught by Jelly Felix and Ashley Lopez respectfully, do require a fee of $15 and $20 and are limited to 16 and 6 girls per session. Beginning in two weeks, SMGSA’s Director of Coaching and Alverno’s Varsity Softball Coach, Lucinda Buchan, will be hosting a skills and development clinic every Thursday at Heasley as well. These will be free of charge and will be run with the assistance of all the league’s managers. Details on Lucinda’s clinics will be coming soon. All clinics will have a SignUpGenius link that will be posted on the SMGSA website.

Lastly, team assignments were completed late last night by the Competition Committee and all players have been uploaded to the manager’s team page. Parents should hear from managers before the weekend is over regarding practices etc. Game schedules should be finalized by the end of next week and the diner duty sign up immediately following.

For those that are interested in volunteering in the capacity of Assistant Coach or Team Parent, a Volunteer Application is needed ONLY if that individual did not already hold one of those positions this last Spring. A copy of the application can be found in the document section of the SMGSA website. Completed applications should be scan/emailed to

Hope to see everyone at Movie Night in the Park next Friday (details on the SMGSA website) and if you have any questions, the best place to start is with your team manager or by going to the SMGSA website, clicking on the “Executive Board” tab and locating the board member whom might best to answer your question.

Looking forward to a fun & successful fall season.
