Hello SMGSA Families!
Only 3 more weeks of fall ball remain and we are planning to close out the season with a blast. Please take a second to read to the points below…
- Next Thursday, November 2nd, will be our final clinics for the fall. Please note this is ending a week earlier than originally planned. There is plenty of room for sign-ups for our pitching and hitting clinics. Here are the links:
Our league sponsored skills clinic will also end next Thursday so take advantage of the opportunity with Beginner/Intermediate from 6pm to 7pm and Intermediate/Advanced from 7pm to 8pm. Team Managers as well as the leagues Director of Coaching put a lot of work into these and hope your daughter can attend.
- We currently have a limited amount of SMGSA visors still available. You can purchase one at the Heasley Field diner on Sunday for $10. These visors are good for future seasons so don’t fret that it is so late in the fall season.
- To close out the season with a bang, we have a special family night at Heasley Field on Friday, November 10th. At 6pm, the league’s manager’s, coach’s and board member’s will be playing in the semi-annual “Coaches Game”. This is always fun and gives the girls a good opportunity to heckle… I mean, coach, the adults from the stands. At 7:30, the game will end and we’ll immediately set up for Family Movie Night in the Park. “The Mermaid’s Tail” is a great movie for all ages and will begin at 8pm so bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a night with other SMGSA families. The diner will be open as well for snacks etc.
- Our final games of the season will be Sunday, November 12th. We will be changing some times and locations so please double check the schedule. Also on that same Sunday, our Umpire in Chief, Lynda Albright, will have a table set up near the diner for our annual rule revision meeting. If you feel a rule in our rule book needs to be changed, added or deleted, please bring this to her attention on that day. All recommendations will then be brought back to the Board of Directors at the December Board Meeting for consideration.
All for now. See you all out on the field on Sunday.
