News and Announcements
With the rain on its way, we took the proactive approach and have revised our weekend schedule. Everything that was supposed to occur on Saturday will now happen on Sunday… games, pictures, carnival etc. If you signed up for a Carnival Volunteer spot and can no longer do it, feel free to make the change on the SignUpGenius. If that day works out better for you, please sign up as we have a little more than 30 spaces still needing to be filled. Here is the link…
All 10U games that were supposed to be played on Sunday have been moved up to Saturday. Please check your team’s website for the schedule revisions.
We have also launched another Saturday of Pitching and Hitting clinics with Ashley Lopez on March 10th. Here is the link to sign up: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/5080D4AA8AA22A7F58-spring2
ALL PRACTICES FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 2ND ARE CANCELLED. In the event the rain stays away, your team manager will contact the team directly.
We apologize for the changes but we are doing everything we can to make sure the girls have a great opening day and, most importantly, stay safe while playing.
This message is for Tuesday, February 27th.
To begin, practices scheduled for today at Sierra Madre Middle School, Sierra Madre Elementary School and Camino Grove Elementary are still on as scheduled. Should a downpour occur before your scheduled practice time, an announcement will be made should we need to shut one of the fields down. If it begins raining during a practice, the Camino Grove Elementary be shut down while the fields at SMMS and SMES will be at the manager’s discretion.
Opening Day is this Saturday, March 3rd. We are keeping a close eye on the weather and the running joke is that if you check the weather 42 different times during the day, the forecast is changing every time you look at it. With that, Opening Day festivities will begin at 9am and we ask for all players to arrive by 8:30am. Because team pictures are taken on this same day, some teams may have to report earlier. Not sure what time your team pictures occur? Please check the calendar on your team’s website as each team’s scheduled time is listed.
There are still about 45 spots open in which we need volunteers for our opening day carnival. They are just one hour slots which include running a game booth, manning or womanning the bounce houses or even clean up. If you can help out with this great event, it would sure be appreciated.
