Hello SMGSA Families!
Just a quick reminder that the 2018 Spring Season parent meeting is tomorrow, Saturday Feb 17th at 12:30pm at the Sierra Madre Rec Center at Heasley Field. Lots of questions have come our way in the last week so we’ll be sure to cover all of them tomorrow.
Right after that meeting ends, every team’s “Team Parent” is asked to stay for a brief 20 minute meeting on how best to help the managers and coaches with the season.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
SMGSA is now hiring diner personnel for the upcoming Spring season. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, have availability on Thursday and Friday nights as well as Sunday’s either in the late morning/early afternoon or late afternoon/early evening. A Food Handler’s Certificate and a USA Softball Background Check must be obtained upon being hired (the league will reimburse the cost).
If you or anyone you know is looking for a part time job, and of course, wants to operate the brand spanking new Heasley Field Fryer (the Cadillac of all Fryers), then please fill out the linked application below. Send the application and direct all inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Just a reminder about the annual Parent Meeting on Saturday, February 17th. The meeting will be held at the Sierra Madre Rec Center at Heasley Field. Originally the meeting was going to be held at noon however we pushed that back to 12:30. At least one parent from each family should attend. Many questions will be answered about the upcoming season in addition to details on what each parent should expect from SMGSA this spring. Any practices that were scheduled during this time are being rescheduled. Your manager will have more information.
Immediately following the meeting will be the Team Mom/Dad meeting at 2pm.

Just a reminder that Tuesday at 11:59pm, the Spring Registration will close. We currently have limited spots in a few divisions. If you are looking to join a 12U team, we are currently on a waitlist but will open up another team if enough girls join the list. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to be put on the waitlist. We’ll have an answer by Tuesday.
We are looking for a few more managers so if you are interested, please let us know ASAP.

1/20 10am-12pm – 8U evaluations at SMMS for all players that did not play last spring, those coming up from 6U and pitchers/catchers.
1/20 12pm-2pm – 12U evaluations at SMMS for all players that did not play last spring and all pitchers/catchers.
1/20 10am-2pm – Uniform sizing event for all players at SMMS (all players MUST attend one of the sizing events)
1/27 10am-12pm – 10U evaluations at SMMS for all players that did not play last spring and all pitchers/catchers.
1/27 12pm-2pm – 14U evaluations at SMMS for all players that did not play last spring and all pitchers/catchers.
1/27 10am-2pm – Uniform sizing event for all players at SMMS (all players MUST attend one of the sizing events)
1/28 10am-11am – 8U make-up evaluations at Heasley Field
1/28 11am-12pm – 10U make-up evaluations at Heasley Field
1/28 12pm-1pm – 12U make-up evaluations at Heasley Field
1/28 1pm-2pm – 14U make-up evaluations at Heasley Field
